Jennifer Lopez takes her twins home

She left with her babies from the hospital on Monday.

"Jennifer and Marc will reportedly name their babies Max and Emme."

Christina Aguilera named her son Max too. Hopefully there won't be any cattiness about that. I also heard that Christina is apparently pissed that J. Lo is getting a lot more money for her baby pictures than Christina did. But, what can you do? As for Emme, how do you pronounce that? Like Emmy? In my opinion, if those really are the baby names, they are alright. I think they could've done better than that. I suppose it's cute for now though.

Eva Longoria so in love

Eva Longoria still seems to be smitten over her hubby, Tony Parker that she is willing to fly to wherever he is even if it means only being with him for a few hours. This includes flights from L.A. to Texas, or even as far as Switzerland. All I'm saying is that he better be treatin her right too or else she's in for some bad news.

Kinda weird......Diddy to send baby clothes to J. Lo

Or maybe it's just me. I don't talk to any of my 7 exes (more like 2) or "remain good friends" with them or however Hollywood likes to put it. But hey, if they are still cool with each other after the mess of a relationship they had then whatever. I wonder how Marc feels about her former lover clothing his babies.

She finally popped!

So I'm a little late on this and I'm sure you all know that Jennifer Lopez gave birth to the twins already. All I know is that Marc and Jenni are like Puerto Rican royalty. They are so rich and I'm sure are going to be ridiculous with their money in spoiling their kids. I hope they don't turn out spoiled little brats. They better at least teach them some Spanish.

New duck-billed dinosaur discovered in Mexico

"The creature, dubbed Velafrons coahuilensis, was a massive plant-eater belonging to a larger group of duck-billed dinosaurs called hadrosaurs. The dino's species name comes from the region of Mexico where it was found, Coahuila."

A stroll in the park

What a lucky gal. She's beautiful, has a gorgeous baby, has a lot of power, and she married rich. Not that she needed it anyway since she has her own money (you go girl!).

Anyway, this is just a short blurb with some pictures of the happy family walking in Central Park.

By 2050 there will be a lot more Hispanics in the U.S.

Is it just me, or is this story in the news every single year?

Well, here it is again! The Hispanic population is growing.

Facebook users in Spain can now stalk and "poke" in their own language.
Also to come will be Facebook in the other major European languages.

Spain to make clothes for real women (finally!)

"Some 10,000 volunteers have undergone laser beam zapping to measure their actual shape as part of a pioneering project for Spanish designers to make clothes that fit real women, officials said Thursday."
It's about time they realized that women come in all shapes and sizes and can't fit into a size 2!

New Music

I've added some music to the blog for you to (hopefully) enjoy. I tried to give a nice mix of styles by adding Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Spanish, Colombian, Argentian, Mexican American, and Ecuadorian American artists.

The Movies

I recently switched back to Netflix from Blockbuster online. Why? Because I just didn't really feel like going to the Blockbuster store every week to trade in movies that were mailed out to me for free, in-store movies. It's a nice perk of the program, but honestly I would just get lazy. Plus with Netflix I like being able to watch some movies and tv shows online too. (I recently started watching The L word) So anyway, just thought I would share a list of certain movies in Spanish that are subtitled in English that I've seen that I think you should check out. There are still sooooo many movies of all different genres that I want to see. Any suggestions you have would be great too!

I've included the trailers in each of the links:
Amores Perros (Love's a bitch)
El Crimen Del Padre Amaro (The Crime of Father Amaro)
La Mujer De Mi Hermano (My Brother's Wife)
Maria Full of Grace

Young Hispanic Women More Likely Than Other Girls To Attempt Suicide

According to the Washington Post and as reported on the Kaiser Network, young Hispanic women are more likely than other girls to attempt suicide. I can't say I've known anybody that was like this. I thought it would have been something that was more visible with white teenagers. The article is interesting nonetheless and it would be interesting to see other studies.

Lean like a chola

Oh Youtube. How I love thee. I know I've put videos up in past posts, and honestly, I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. There are just too many great (and when I say great I mean horrible) videos out there. It would be a shame not to share them with all of you. Anyway, there was a song I'm sure you've heard at some point called "Lean like a cholo." There have been many videos put out of "Lean like a chola," the female version of this song.

What is this about?

The comments aren't the nicest, but did she really have to spend her Saturday night in her parent's house doing this, and then decide to actually post it thinking it was great? Pobrecita.

Bordertown

I watched this movie over the weekend. I know a lot of people have their issues with Jennifer Lopez. Well, she doesn't bother me and I have to give her some props for doing all she does. Anyway, I thought this movie was very good and gave me some insight as to what atrocities have been happening in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico. For those who don't know, Juarez is right across the border from El Paso, Texas. This movie is about the hundreds of rapes and murders that have been happening to Mexican women (many of whom work in factories late at night). Many of the cases go unsolved and many have not received proper justice due to some corruption in the government. I don't want to give away too much. But here is the trailer. Bottom line, intense moments based on true events. J. Lo also seems to be wearing a really bad wig in the beginning ha.
